Missoni in Milan

In Brera Design District in Milaan bevinden zich diversen showrooms van mode en meubelmerken. Die zitten dan vaak een beetje verstopt in van die prachtige groene patio’s. Zo ook Missoni. Ik ben niet bepaald fan van Missoni maar toen ik hun showroom binnenstapte is dat wel een beetje veranderd. Ik zal het gevoel proberen te omschrijven: Op het einde van de derde dag in Milaan liep ik door Brera, na veel regen was de zon gaan schijnen en er was volop gezelligheid op straat. Moe van al het moois wat ik gezien had was ik eigenlijk toe aan een koud glas Pinot Grigio op een terras, maar spotte Missoni, nog eentje dan! Ik kwam binnen in een grote ruimte waar Missoni haar nieuwe tuin collectie presenteerde. Het was doodstil, of eigenlijk horde je alleen de vogeltjes fluiten, overal lagen mensen op bedden te chillen. Het was zo mooi, bijna een kunstproject. Het was moeilijk om weer op te staan en de weg voort te zetten richting het terras!

In Design District Brera in Milan are various showrooms of furniture and fashion brands. They're often hidden in one of those beautiful green patios. Like Missoni.I 'm not exactly a fan of Missoni but when I walked into their showroom it has changed a bit. I will try to describe the feeling: At the end of the third day I walked through Brera in Milan, after much rain, the sun started to shine and there was plenty of fun on the street. Tired of all the beautiful things I had seen I was actually up for a cold glass of Pinot Grigio on a terrace, but walked into Missoni, okay then! I stepped into a large room where Missoni presented their new garden. Furniture collection. It was dead quiet, or actually you could only hear the birds singing, people lying everywhere on beds to chill. It was so beautiful, almost an art project. It was hard to get up again and  hit the road to continue towards the terrace!
